TESTIMONIALS
“As a new coach I sometimes lack the confidence in my ability to put into practice what I have learned. This workshop not only provided me with the opportunity to gain that confidence but also gave me the skills and practice needed to be an effective coach. Jess and Julz were incredibly organized and patient and knowledgeable in delivering this workshop. It has been an incredibly useful experience where i not only gained the knowledge but also got to meet amazing coaches.”
“The workshop ran brilliantly. The format for the afternoon and snatch/ BMU portions were always well explained and demonstrated. I was able to take away lots of feedback, cues and warm up ideas.”
“The workshop was very insightful, giving me more confidence in coaching athletes through these movements, as well as improving my own skills as an athlete the process.”
“Great 4hrs covering two movements. It was well-paced, covering everything from warming up, to technique, to coaching and giving/receiving feedback. We also got a workout while doing it and had great discussions on the movements, learning to point out the root cause of problematic habits. It was engaging throughout and we had fun laughing at ourselves.”
“A really insightful & interactive experience - Found it so useful and interesting for not only developing myself as a coach but able to take alot home to improve my own training and performance. Jess & Julz were really attentive & assertive but in a friendly and approachable manner. I have come away feeling so motivated to demonstrate what I have learnt and have already put things into practice today! Thankyou, will be back for the next one.”
Do I need to be able to perform all the movements I’m expected to coach?
No, a good coach does not necessarily have to have a perfect handstand or ring muscle ups. However a great coach should be working towards any skills they do not yet have and in a constant pursuit to move with the best form possible as we are the ones that will be demoing to our athletes. If you move well there is a greater chance they also will move well.
